Joe began his insurance career in 1988 with Aetna, where he received extensive training across all facets of the industry, including underwriting, claims, and marketing. From 1992 to 1995, he worked as a career Life Insurance agent with MetLife before launching the Financial Services Department at Chittenden, where he became a principal in 2003.

Joe is well-versed in self-funded plans, HRAs, HSAs, and fully insured plans. In addition to serving local businesses, he has worked on national accounts with multi-state locations, including Acirca Organic Foods and Accel International Holdings. He also has extensive experience designing executive compensation packages, including deferred compensation and disability buy-out plans. Joe holds the LUTCF designation.

Joe is actively involved in business and civic organizations. He is a past President of the Naugatuck YMCA Board of Directors, past Secretary of the New Haven chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, a former Board Member and Campaign Chair of United Way of Naugatuck & Beacon Falls, and a member of the Membership Committee at the Country Club of Waterbury.
